Vegan Smoked Salmon

Smoked Salmon Made Out Of Carrots

Zutaten

  • 3-4 big carrots (the bigger the better to peel)
  • 2,5 big spoons olive oil
  • 2 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1/2 - 1 tbsp (smoked) salt
  • 2 big spoons (apple) vinegar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 leave nori (plucked small) (or: 1/2 tbsp kelp powder)
  • a bit fresh dill as topping

Anleitungen

  • Peel the carrots and cook until soft (do a test with a fork)
  • Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl
  • Cut the carrots into thin, salmon-like strips with a peeler (a good peeler is certainly an advantage here)
  • Place the carrots in the spice mixture, cover them in the sauce. Try a test piece to determine whether the first taste is convincing or whether some oil, vinegar, salt or possibly liquid smoke is missing.
  • Let it steep overnight or, even better, for a day. Give out the strips, put them on a bread with a (vegan) cream cheese spread and some fresh dill t voila!
